Owl’s Nest Resort, located in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire, is home to the state’s only Nicklaus Design golf course. This 600-acre residential community features 27 luxury rental homes and our on-site Restaurant – Panorama Six82 and Tented Pavilion. The Resort is currently undergoing a major expansion including 9.9- acre Lake Harold as well as pickleball and tennis courts. In 2021 the expansion continues with additional condominiums, club house renovation, boutique hotel and The Lakehouse Banquet & Event venue.
Owl’s Nest employs between 30 and 150 full and part-time staff on a seasonal and year-round basis. Seasonal positions are typically available from April to November.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Sales & Catering Coordinator
The Sales and Catering Coordinator provides direct support to the Director of Sales, Sales Manager, and the Catering & Event Specialist. The coordinator will interact with Owl’s Nest Group clients during many touch points during the planning and execution process. This position is responsible for always conducting themselves professionally and articulately. Attention to detail is paramount. Essential duties: Aid in the collection of data (planners, available dates, and rates) for the Sales Team; Print and distribute weekly Banquet Event Order Packets to a variety of departments; Coordinate ceremony rehearsals, as directed; Day of Event: Assist with set up, transportation of families and bridal couple to venue and photo locations, assist and/or choreograph wedding ceremonies (procession and recession); and Greet golf tournament contacts at registration and meal periods.
Facilities Maintenance Tech
The Facilities Maintenance Tech performs corrective and preventative maintenance on Owl’s Nest building elements and fixtures, responds to general guest requests for service, assists with grounds maintenance, performs general janitorial work, and conducts interior and exterior patrols via foot and golf cart throughout the property to ensure a high-quality guest experience. Ability to work off-shift hours 3P-11P and/or 10p-7A. Availability on holidays and weekends is required.
Guest Activities Assistant
Assisting Department Managers in scheduling, planning, and executing entertainment and events for resort guests, including summer camps, and after school programs. Responsibilities include, assisting in the logistics of transportation, staff, catering, live entertainment, and more. You are expected to keep records of relevant information such as event popularity and resources used for planning.
Physical stamina is crucial, as this job requires a lot of movement. Organizational and time management skills are helpful, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. To excel as an activity assistant, you need a flexible schedule and a willingness to work nights and weekends.
Responsible for the successful execution and coordination of all Banquets and Events throughout Owl’s Nest Resort to ensure the highest level of service and quality to the client and guests. Banquet Server
Understanding a timeline and layout of an event including setting up and manning a buffet line; carrying and placing trays when table service is required. The Banquet Server may be assigned to specific tables and sections, pour champagne or wine service as well as fulfill all event staff tasks with ease. This is a seasonal part-time position that will average 10-20 hours per week during the months of May through October. One year of experience preferred.
Banquet & Events Bartender
Detail-oriented and outgoing individual, skilled in multi-tasking and leading in high-pressure, busy situations. The Banquet & Event Bartender must demonstrate a commitment to exceptional service while representing the values and standards of Owl’s Nest Resort & Golf Club. Two years of experience working a full-service bar is required.
Restaurant Bartender
Detail-oriented and outgoing individual, skilled in multi-tasking, and leading in high-pressure, busy situations. The Bartender must demonstrate a commitment to exceptional service while representing the values and standards of Owl’s Nest Resort. Two years of experience working in a full-service bar are required.
Beverage Cart Attendant
The Beverage Cart Attendant must be an outgoing, enthusiastic, service-oriented person responsible for attending to the needs of golfers on the course and guests at the pool or anywhere onsite and must be able to work independently. Compensation includes hourly wage and tips. Experience preferred but not necessary. Must be 18 years old.
Dishwasher
The dishwasher must be a reliable person willing to perform a variety of required tasks to support a busy, 100-seat restaurant and banquet & event department working alongside other kitchen personnel to ensure a high- quality guest experience. The position requires cleaning dishes, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils. Must have reliable transportation. No experience necessary – will train.
Guest Services Assistant
The Guest Services Assistant presents a positive attitude, friendly disposition, and professional manner to guests upon their arrival at our dine-in restaurant, Panorama Six82 or when guests pick up takeout from our ghost kitchen, El Nido del Barrio. The GSA will monitor takeout orders and waiting list and inform guests of any wait time. The GSA will perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glasses and menus and ensuring restrooms, entryway, and waiting areas are clean, stocked, and orderly. The GSA may also serve as a food runner as needed to maintain proper operations of the restaurant.
Line Cook
The Line Cook will prepare meals according to the menu while following instructions in cooking and delivering items in a timely manner and ability to work harmoniously with other kitchen personnel to ensure a high-quality guest experience. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important. Two years of experience is preferred.
Restaurant & Patio Server
Must be an outgoing individual looking to work in service-based, high-pressure situations while catering to the needs of people. You must be able to ensure guest satisfaction while representing the values and standards of the resort. This position requires attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and an enthusiastic work ethic. One year of experience preferred.
Sous Chef
The Sous Chef demonstrates the skills to prepare meals according to the menu while leading the kitchen staff in cooking and delivering items in a timely manner. This individual will work directly with the Executive Chef to ensure a high-quality guest experience. Three or more years of experience are required.
Equipment Operator – Golf Course Maintenance
The equipment operator will mow greens, tees, fairways and roughs with turf mowers. Operate all types of equipment; turf vac, skip-loader, aerifiers, sprayers.; May operate smaller equipment, both riding and non-riding, as directed by Superintendent; Ensure that the equipment systems are working properly; refill fuel and oil daily; clean equipment daily. Must be 18 years old with valid driver license; Experience preferred.
Laborer – Golf Course Maintenance
Assist with course maintenance in preparation of daily play. Excavate and backfill ditches and trenches with hand tools; Cut weeds and brush and trim trees; Rake bunkers; Maintain the cleanliness of all golf course equipment; Assist with loading and unloading materials used for the golf course. No experience necessary – will train. Must be at least 16 years old.
Golf Department – Outside Operations
Must be an outgoing and hardworking individual with a passion for golf. You will perform a variety of skilled preventative and general maintenance as well as tend to the course’s operational needs to ensure a high-quality guest experience. Attention to detail and commitment to exceptional customer service is a must in this position. Meet and greet all members and guests; Assist players in unloading golf bags at the bag drop or from the parking lot and getting set up on carts; Attend to the golf cart fleet. Must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver license. No experience necessary – will train.
Golf Department – Golf Shop Operations
Responsible for attending to the needs of golf patrons and must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. In this position, you will be responsible for acting on behalf of the Golf Shop Manager, Head Golf Professional and Director of Sports/Golf Operations by administering existing policies and regulations; Open and close the Golf Shop and perform all associated duties; Assist with tournament set-up, management and closing duties; use a POS to collect golf fees and make retail merchandise sales.
Must be at least 18 years old.
