Event Coordinator

Owl’s Nest Resort & Golf Club, located in Thornton, New Hampshire, is the state’s only Nicklaus Design golf course. Located on 600 acres, our resort community features 27 luxury rental homes, an on-site restaurant, new Sperry tent event facility, golf & retail shop and activity/fitness center. A dramatic expansion plan is underway to transition the resort to a four-season getaway with a wide array of activities and outdoor pursuits.


The Event Coordinator assists in administration and supervision of Special Events including social events such as weddings, rehearsal dinners and proms, and resort events such as golf tournaments, leagues, stay and play, special dinners. The Event Coordinator works with all members of the Food & Beverage team to maintain the high quality and standards as determined by the Event Planner and Event Sales Manager. The Event Coordinator will utilize current and learned skills to increase revenue and guest satisfaction and decrease expenses and waste.

This is a seasonal position that will average 30-40 hours per week during the months of May through October. Company benefits include Paid Time Off (PTO).


  • Event execution: from start to finish: set up, service and break down.
  • Ensures that all side work is accomplished and all cleaning and storing of equipment is completed before and after events.
  • In accordance with established HR protocols, assists with the recruitment and training of event staff.
  • Assists with pre-event meetings with staff.
  • Coordinates with vendors during event planning and execution.
  • Assists in placing necessary rental orders.
  • Makes suggestions about improvements to Events.
  • Assists in maintaining a current inventory of all necessary small wares, linen, and furniture.
  • Maintains professional demeanor and confidentiality.

  • This is a hands-on position.
  • Availability on Holidays, weekends and nights is required.
  • Climbing stairs, lifting, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, standing and walking constantly.
  • Exposure to inclement weather including dust, wind, rain, snow.
