Job Opening – Event Staff

JOB SUMMARY

Full and part-time, on-premises Event Staff for the 2019 Event Season (April through October). Most events are weddings and consist of 8-10 hour service shifts that take place generally Thursday through Monday, early/mid-afternoon to late evening. We are seeking hard working, energetic individuals who enjoy serving others and consider themselves a team player. This is a seasonal position; not eligible for company benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Moving chairs and tables, setting tables, placing linens, etc.
  • Serving guests, bussing and end of event break down.
  • Ensure a positive and pleasant customer experience.
  • Attend to the tables and guarantee compliance with cleanliness and sanitary standards.
  • Create a team environment with other Event employees in order to generate a positive and friendly, customer-focused environment for guests.
  • May perform duties from other positions as needed or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Previous Event experience or resort/hospitality experience preferred but not required.
  • Organization and attention to detail, positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • High school or equivalent is preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum age 16 (parental permission required)

ADA REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects.
  • Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking.
  • Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning, reaching, and bending at the waist.
