It is officially summer! With the summer heat now in full swing, it is important to consider how you may need to prepare for a day out on the golf course. Even though the summer heat can get uncomfortable and roasty, this should not prevent you from enjoying a full day of golf. We have pulled together some of the most important rules to keep in mind for staying cool and comfortable on the course. Check them out here:
- Stay hydrated and bring snacks. It is vital for you to stay hydrated regardless of the weather, but this becomes even more important in the summer heat. Make sure that you are packing a good number of waters for the course, as well as drinks that have electrolytes to keep you energized. It is also important to pack some healthy snacks for the course so that you are staying well nourished. This will keep you comfortable while also improving your game.
- Wear sunscreen and reapply! Applying sunscreen can be easy to forget if you are distracted and preoccupied with the game. Ahead of your day of golf, purchase a strong SPF sunscreen and be sure to thoroughly reapply every hour so that you avoid a painful sunburn.
- Bring a visor or hat. A great way to protect your head and face from the sun is to bring some shade for yourself. A visor or hat will help to shield the sun from your face and will also help to keep you a little bit cooler. However, be sure to still apply sunscreen regardless of the hat or visor!
- Pack a battery fan and don’t forget extra batteries. If you can purchase a battery fan, this will greatly help you out on the course! With this fan, you will stay cool and refreshed in between swings. And, if there is not a lot of wind out on the course, you will become everyone’s favorite player.
