Hello, Owl’s Nest Wedding and Event Family,
We write to you today to inform you of the changes Owl’s Nest Resort will be made to ensure your guests, and our staff, feel safe attending your event amid the Coronavirus pandemic. Owl’s Nest is following the wedding & event guidance outlined in Stay at Home 2.0 to be in effect June 15th, 2022.
The changes these guidelines imposed on the execution of your wedding day are outlined below. Please feel free to contact your wedding planner if you have any more concerns after reading this informative letter. Owl’s Nest is both prepared and excited to be moving forward with weddings and events!
Arrival to Owl’s Nest Property
Prior to your guests arriving, the Owl’s Nest lodging team will be in touch with those who have reservations. Upon arrival at the resort, guests will not be required to check-in at the Sports Nest. Guests will simply arrive at their designated house; they will then find the door to be unlocked and the keys to their home located on the dining room table.
Our lodging team will contact guests who have outstanding balances on their account prior to their arrival. Guests who are arriving from out of state will be asked to sign a waiver stating they have been quarantined for 14 days prior to their arrival.
Upon check out, guests will leave their keys on the dining room table and leave the door unlocked. All houses are cleaned and sanitized following each reservation’s departure.
Guest Who Are Golfing
Guests can make tee time reservations by calling the Sports Nest 602-726-3026 ext. 202, on the Owl’s Nest website, or on the Owl’s Nest app. Golfers will then be provided a sanitized golf cart and directed to the first tee where the starter will greet them. Golfers may use the bathrooms, check-in, and shop in the Sports Nest. Read our golf guidelines during COVID-19 here.
Rehearsal Dinner
As a result of social distancing and indoor capacity guidelines, rehearsal dinners will now be held in our on-site restaurant and bar, Panorama Six82. This will allow your guests to have extra space to move about freely and to accommodate larger space for buffets.
Ceremony
There are no current capacity guidelines for outdoor ceremonies; however, Owl’s Nest will be spacing ceremony rows further apart from one another to ensure guests feel safe. When the ceremony site is being constructed all chairs will be cleaned and sanitized.
Cocktail Hour
Bar Service: Passed beverages will be encouraged during cocktail hour as to assist in keeping lines at the bar to a minimum.
Planner Tip: We suggest using a signature cocktail, red and white wine, bottled beer, or even sparkling water or lemonade to be passed during cocktail hour.
Food Service: Stationary displays will be reconstructed to be passed out individually. All passed hor d’oevres will be presented in singular boxes and presented to each guest by Owl’s Nest waitstaff.
Reception
Floorplan: Please design your seating chart to incorporate non touched items. When constructing your seating arrangements, it is recommended you place individuals of the same household at the same tables. To allow more room for guest’s tables, we are encouraging our clients to keep display tables such as memory or guest book to a minimum and utilize the cocktail hour space for such tables. Along with your guest book, please bring a pen for every individual to use.
Food Service: Plated dinner receptions will go as planned. If you were planning on a buffet service, we strongly recommend you switch to a plated dinner service. Buffet service will eliminate at least two guests’ tables, dinner service will be longer than expected as tables will be called up one by one and Owl’s Nest waitstaff will be serving your guests’ plates. Please speak with your wedding planner individually regarding details of making this change.
Planner Tip: If you are considering switching your dinner service from a buffet to a plated meal and have already sent your RSVP cards, you can use a digital tracking system! If you already having a wedding website, you most likely have the capability to have guests select their entrée digitally. If you do not have a website, you can easily make a google form or survey and request your guests by email to fill it out. The best part? It’s free!
Dessert: Owl’s Nest recommends your selected dessert be passed out and not offered as a dessert table. Please make sure you have ordered enough dessert for all your guests to enjoy. If you were preparing for a cake cutting, you may cut the cake on the dance floor while individuals stay seated. The cake will then be cut and served by Owl’s Nest waitstaff.
Dancing: The state of New Hampshire suggests that guests dance within 6 feet of another individual apart from individuals from the same household. Concluding dinner service, tables will be pushed to allow space for individuals who would like to dance.
Owl’s Nest events team is exhilarated to have the opportunity to host your celebration. We are committed to making your special day seamless and safe.
