There is no better time than now to book a special event at Owl’s Nest, whether you are looking to plan a special party, corporate event, or wedding, as Haylea Minnis has recently become the newest Catering and Events Specialist at Owl’s Nest!

Minnis was born in New Hampshire but spent most of her life living in the sunny state of California. In 2018, both Haylea and her husband decided it was time to move back to the gorgeous White Mountain views that New Hampshire has to offer and be closer to family and to enjoy everything in the Granite State.

While Haylea’s professional career began in Special Education in K-8 schools as an Autism and Behavior Specialist, event planning and weddings was always a passion for her and something in the back of her mind.

After getting engaged to her now husband in 2020, Minnis began planning her own wedding and through the process realized her desire to help others plan their own. In fact, just a week prior to her own wedding, Haylea helped to coordinate and detail her friend’s wedding at a luxury hotel, sealing the deal in her ability to multitask and execute an incredible event with a vivid attention to detail.

In 2022, after two years of planning her own wedding, Haylea and her husband got married and she realized she was meant to be an event and wedding planner, which brought her to Owl’s Nest.

This past year in 2023, Haylea began working at Owl’s Nest as an Event Coordinator. Upon her arrival to the team, Minnis worked directly with Owl’s Nest’s current Catering and Event Specialists.

Thanks to her strong passion for event planning and astute attention to detail, Haylea quickly began to excel in her role as Event Coordinator. Her dedication to service excellence and expertise in creative problem-solving set her apart and as a result, Haylea has quickly advanced into her current position as a Catering and Event Specialist. Minnis is passionate about bringing couples’ dreams to life and making sure that they feel supported and confident throughout the entire wedding process.

In her current role, Haylea works closely with wedding couples at Owl’s Nest to ensure a seamless and exceptional experience for one of the most special days of their lives. Haylea tends to their immediate and long-term needs throughout the wedding planning process through continuous communication and helping to brainstorm fun and unique ideas for the ceremony and reception, which she plays a pivotal role in coordinating and orchestrating.

Minnis, among other event and catering specialists at Owl’s Nest, acts as an expert on the resort and is able to provide insight into all event spaces, resort activities, and other recommendations for couples. In addition, Haylea works very closely with Owl’s Nest’s Food & Beverage team to help curate menus for couples and their wedding parties. And of course, on the wedding day, Minnis is fully present and acts as the Bride and Groom’s right-hand assistant in the occasion that they need anything at all throughout the duration of their special day.

Along with the team of dedicated event specialists at Owl’s Nest, Haylea helps to see the wedding planning process from the start to the very end, and she is truly a key piece in the exceptional wedding experience that Owl’s Nest is known and loved for. While the process can feel overwhelming and involved, Haylea’s love for the wedding experience and ability to help create the perfect day for her couples makes her a valuable part of the Owl’s Nest team.
